Community Outreach Committee

Represents the Realtors and it’s brand in the community; enhances the organization’s image. Oversee’s all of the Association fundraisers such as the annual golf tournament, toy drive, thrift drive, beer festival and more to benefit local non-profits in the area.

Finance Committee

To formulate and make recommendations concerning strategic and financial planning, investment management and budgeting. Provides ongoing oversight and guidance on fiscal matters including financial statements, annual audits and major capital purchases. Assures necessary checks and balance are in place, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Government Affairs / Legislative Committee

Provides ongoing oversight and guidance on matters pertaining to real estate related political issues, attends hearing and meetings that affect the real estate industry. Support the NAR by collecting voluntary political contributions to enhance the effectiveness of NAR’s grassroots lobbying by mobilizing REALTORS®, as well as targeted segments of the general public, to gain the support of key legislators for the REALTORS®’ position on a specific legislative objective. Organizes and coordinates local political candidate interviews.

Professional Standards Committee

To advise and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters relating to the Code of Ethics; upon request, the Committee advises member boards on interpretations on the Code; upon receiving notice of lack of enforcement thereof by member boards, the Committee inquires into the situation, seeks remedial action and, if necessary, brings to the attention of the Board of Directors or the proper office of the Association in case of failure or refusal to enforce the Code.
